Parent Coaching & Support

Parent Coaching & Support

We believe that children do well when parents do well. Parents don’t want to yell, nag, threaten, or spank. They don’t want to feel out of control. When parents have the knowledge and confidence to feel calm and in control at home, their relationships with their children can completely transform.

We also believe that there is no one right way to parent. After their first parent coaching session, many parents have said that they were hesitant to try parent coaching because they were worried they would be judged or told how to parent – but that isn’t how we work. We believe in finding and building on the strengths that you already have as a parent and helping you find tools that work for your family.

Parents come to us because they are struggling with tantrums, power struggles, bedtime meltdowns, sibling rivalry, getting out the door in the morning, and all kinds of other struggles.

Parent coaching is a great option for parents who want support and ideas to improve their relationship with their child. For many parents with young children who don’t need to be seen individually or older children who won’t come to counseling, parent coaching can help.

Our
Approach

We begin the parent coaching process by gathering information and history about your child and your family. We work with you to get a clear idea of what you want life with your child to look like, and the kind of parent you want to be. Then, we create goals together and talk about what’s getting in the way of reaching those goals. We tailor interventions to fit your family, so depending on your needs, we may help you create visuals and routines, help you adjust your language, talk through what’s keeping you stuck, coach you in how to help support your child through meltdowns and tantrums, and whatever else comes up!

Parenting is incredibly challenging – but it’s easier with the support and tools to help you succeed. Reach out today.

Parent coaching sessions are $125 for a 50 minute session.
