Family Roots Therapy Statement on ICE Activity
From Kaleigh Boysen-Quinata, Owner/Director

At Family Roots Therapy, we value family, connection, and community above all else. Family has always been at the center of our work. We stand in support of immigrant families and oppose the harm being done in our communities. Trust, safety and vulnerability - the very cornerstones of our therapeutic work - cannot co-exist with violence, fear, and intimidation. As therapists, our silence in response to violence harms the very communities that we aim to serve, and for that reason I feel we must make our position clear in the wake of recent ICE activity across the nation.

As therapists, counselors, and social workers, each of our professional codes of ethics compel us to participate in advocacy that serves the public interest, to oppose discrimination, and to empower marginalized groups. We strive to have Family Roots Therapy be a safe place for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status.

Thank you for continuing to grow with us.
